Sourcing
Market Comment
After a brief pause at the height of the credit crunch where many organisations did not want to be seen to be taking jobs out of the UK, the activities of outsourcing and procurement rationalisation are continuing apace. The ongoing search for cost effective operations and the pressure for cost reduction continues and with every department and business under the microscope, an increasing number of deals are either being signed or re negotiated onto better terms. It has long been the Bluerock belief that the real proof of a good deal is how it continues to deliver value after the "honeymoon period" is over, and that management of those deals should be a core competence of any modern financial services organisation.
Recent Projects
We continue to develop our scope in this sector. Recent projects include filling a number of roles with one of the world's largest insurance providers, following a multi-billion pound global IT outsourcing deal. We have also been collaborating closely with Bluerock Consulting and leveraging their Best Practice Sourcing model to develop an outsourcing framework for a large mutual society. This involved working with multiple business units to create a common and shared internal sourcing practice, implementing best practice methods and procedures across the group, and sharing of best practice method, process, experience, and capability in managing multiple vendors.
